Membership Commitment

Temple Israel has thrived as a Jewish community for more than 140 years. We are committed both to keeping membership accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstance, and to ensuring that our congregation will remain financially strong and stable, so that we may continue to serve our community for generations to come.

In order to keep both of these commitments, we must all do our part. We ask each member of Temple Israel to sustain our community through an annual Membership Commitment.

Our Director of Membership and Advancement, Roberta Bonoff, 612.374.0348, meets with each prospective member. She will help you connect with the programs and services that are most meaningful to you, and will also help determine a Membership Commitment that is appropriate for you.

Currently, income from Membership Commitments is Temple Israel’s primary source of revenue, accounting for approximately 44% of Temple’s annual income. We rely on your contribution to support our clergy team, the care and maintenance of our historic building, lifelong learning programs for all ages, safety and security, and much more.
