Today’s topic: Jewish Perspectives on the Conflict with Iran with Rabbi Zimmerman
As the conflict with Iran continues to unfold, many distinct and diverse opinions have emerged. In the Talmud, we study and learn a variety of interpretations on the same page, about the same text. It is a strong Jewish tradition to disagree. Join Rabbi Zimmerman as we explore and wrestle with the realities we are living in – and at the same time, strengthen our capacity to be in conversation with others who hold differing perspectives.
Spend a summer morning catching up with clergy and each other as we reflect on current events through the lens of Jewish texts. These informal conversations over coffee and pastries offer space to connect, learn, and consider how ancient wisdom can help us navigate the world today.

Due to road construction in the surrounding areas, please plan for extra time.
Parking is at The Woods Retreat, 525 Leaf Street, Long Lake, MN 55356, with continuous shuttle service to Camp TEKO, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Calvin Presbyterian Church, 177 Glendale Dr, Long Lake, MN 55356 with continuous shuttle buses to TEKO, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Limited parking for anyone with mobility issues will be available at Camp TEKO.
Everyone is welcome to the Camp TEKO Cookout—a longstanding tradition!—followed by a song-filled Erev Shabbat service overlooking Lake Minnetonka. Join the Temple Israel clergy and Camp TEKO staff as we welcome Shabbat together. Thank you to our Men's Club for continuing their tradition of grilling our delicious Shabbat dinner.
There will be NO Shabbat service at Temple Israel on Friday, July 24.
UNABLE TO JOIN US AT TEKO? For those who are not joining us at camp, a pre-recorded virtual Erev Shabbat service including the Kaddish list and Kaddish prayer will be available here starting at 4:00 p.m. Link coming soon!
