Family Experience
Temple Israel’s custom is to greet congregants at the door, and perhaps no time is this tradition stronger than as people arrive for JEWL on Sunday mornings. Just as we want the content of our experience in our classrooms to feel engaging, inspiring, and safe for our K–12 learners, we want the entire educational experience, for our leaners and their families, to feel warm, welcoming, social, and growth-filled.
During the 2021-22/5782 JEWL year, we are looking forward to providing a series of opportunities for parents to get to know one another and explore Jewish wisdom as they navigate issues relevant to our children approaching adolescence.
As long-time Temple Israel families come together with people who are newer to the community, we look forward to facilitating connections among families in the school year ahead. Meeting new friends, enjoying a Shabbat experience together, or supporting someone at a time of need or transition are all ways we can broaden and deepen connections with one another.
Please reach out to Darcy Schnitzer, Director of JEWL Family Experience, if you would like to support these efforts or know someone who may be in need of support.
